Just got 8gb fuze - and overall loving it. Switched to MSC mode and used Winamp to create playlists, and it all works perfectly. Got the fuze as my hard requirements are M3U playlist support and external memory, non-replacable battery I'll have to live with.
My understanding is that using MSC mode, the card and player memory will show up as seperate drives, sadly this means I could not simply copy M3U playlists from my computer to the fuze if they reference files on the internal and expandable memory. My questions are: - Is it possible to create a playlist using MSC mode that will reference both the player and the card - or are they seperate data silos with their own playlists? - Would using MTP mode integrate the player and the memory in such a way that I could create m3u playlists? I seem to recall that MTP and M3U are not compatible on the fuze - but can't remember where . . . Thanks |

Unfortunately, there's no way to create an m3u playlist that integrates songs from both internal and external storage.
I think the only way you can do this is with pla playlists in MTP mode. |
