Hi, My boyfriend took delivery of an O2 last week - looks good. Only problem we are having is that every time we connect to the computer the O2 freezes the pc. Can't even safely disconnect and a message flashes up 'your hardware may not work as hasn't installed correctly' is this PMP defective or is there a solution?

If you have other devices (USB) attached to the PC, try disconnecting them before you plug in the O2. It may be conflicting with other drivers.
Is it a Dell, HP, or other brand name, or a homebuilt? If it's a big name, try downloading all the latest drivers for your PC from the OEM site. Usually soundcard, video and chipset drivers may be the biggest culprits. That's what I've experienced, anyway. Well, if it is a homebuilt, then try to download the latest drivers for your peripherals, and the same above items. There is another possibility. Try opening XP in safe mode. See if that works. |

Thanks for the help. We are trying to connect to a Samsung Laptop and
since the sansa, samsung and archos mp3/pmp's in the household (all 4 of us have different players) connect and sync no problem i think the O2 may be returned to Amazon (not my decision). I personally would have perservered but some people have no patience !! |

Well, with us moving from the "Me Generation" to the "Now Generation", I guess you don't have much of a choice.
