Default Rockboxed Fuze v1
I guess this question is directed more to Saratoga and Llorean or any Rockbox dev guy who is working on Rockbox for the Clip and Fuze...

I know there have been multiple pics of Rockbox running on a Clip. Including the guys mentioned above has ANYONE actually seen Rockbox running on a Fuze yet? Just curious. And pics would be nice if you got'em.

Audio playback doesn't really work right yet, so you can run it but it'll freeze pretty quickly if you play music.

Default Rockboxed Fuze...with Pics!
I found this on the Sansa forums today and had to share this with the rest of us who are drooling over the thought of having Rockbox on our Fuzes!!. Thanks to ATZ for the pics. I now know that it's a reality!!. REMEMBER its still in development so don't try anything stupid that could brick your player!. Here's the link....

The fuze port has advanced a lot, but you wouldn't know it from those pictures. They could easily be from last year, the screen has been working for a long time now.

It is exciting, but I'm willing to wait until the developers release it. I've been following the development thread on the Rockbox forum for some time. Not a very exciting read unless programming is your thing, but it's nice to know these guys are willing to put a chunk of their free time into developing this for everyone. (Thank you, saratoga, and any other devs who drop by.)

But the pictures will cause all kinds of foofooraw, I'm sure.

Here, let me get these out of the way for everyone.

"OOH! Shiny! Where do I get it?"
"Is it finished yet?"
"Why can't they give a date for release?"
"The Rockbox developers should be fired, they're taking way too long."

Oh brother, someone tell this guy how to make decent photos. But I guess that's as good as it gets with a Sony-Ericsson W580i.

Oh man, I have to keep wiping the drool off. I have 2 fuzes and an e200v2 just waiting for rockbox. I have an e200v1 with rockbox currently that gets used every day. The problem is with all the use, it's gotten pretty beaten up over the years and the new version on the newer players will allow me to retire the older one. Well, retire may be too strong a word as my nephew is just dying to get it. :-)

Well, the good news is it won't ever be "pushed back"...because there's never a projected release date for Rockbox ports. It will be ready for the Fuze if and when people have figured out how to make it so.

I saved these to my PC and checked them. If the picture data is correct, they were taken 4/15/2009..so they seem to be in fact new pics.

I don't think you understood my figure of speech. "you wouldn't know it from those pictures" means they don't show anything new, not that they're faked.
