Default "Your player is not connected."

Hello everyone!

I just bought a Zen Vision:M a couple hours ago and installed the software CD. When I open the Media Explorer it states "Your player is not connected. Please connect your Zen Vision:M to the computer." My computer seems to recognize it since I get a Hi-Speed USB device connected to a non Hi-Speed port warning. What could be going wrong?
