weird sansa problems

ever since i got my fuze i had weird problems after like 1 or 2 months of owning it.

the first problem is the buttons and scroll wheel. the scroll does not respond after about 2 seconds of spinning it. another problem is the pause play button. it does not function sometimes when i press on it. but sometimes some of the other buttons do not respond.

plus one or two of the leds flicker on and off sometimes.

i take good care of the player and charge when needed. even when i upgraded the firmware the problems remained so now i'm wondering if i should send it to sandisk for a repair or RMA.

Call them and start the rma process.

ok, many thanks for the tip, also now the sansa won't turn on or respond when i plug into the computer. I'm defintely gonna RMA it.

It sounds like something you can't fix :/ ... that's why I said to rma, good luck!

yeah, but it should go through, i didn't damage in any way or fall off my bike. that's what happened last time.

ok my sansa works, but i'm now thinking there's bugs in the firmware perhaps. so i'm not RMAing. besides i don't have the reciept for it anymore.

Normally I'd say re-firmware it, but it sounded from your description that your problem is more hardware related, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

ok, i was wrong about the bugs. I formatted the fuze and chkdisked it and reloaded the firmware but i still have the play button problem and the scroll wheel lights keep flickering and the scroll wheel doesn't respond sometimes. perhaps a circuit is shorted or something. I'm gonna RMA it for sure.
