wmp11 freezes when usb is inserted into pc

Hi I have a sansa view 16gb. When i go to wmp11 to sync i plug in the usb cord. the following messages pop up: fist a box that says windows-no disc Exception Processing message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7. Than autoplay runs for a few seconds than windows media player says it has encountered a problem and must shut down. This is driving me crazy, I rolled back wmp several times. any suggestions would be appreciated.
