So, what's the best/safest way to clean the screen of the P3? I checked the user manual but it didn't real give any information about how best to clean it, just a single note about not spraying water on it or using chemical substances.
I've got a few stubborn smudges that aren't wiping off with an eyeglasses cloth so I thought about using a small amount of eyeglass cleaner on the cloth but I thought I'd ask before doing anything.

I just breathe on mine like you do an apple.. then wipe with eyeglass cloth.. That usually does the trick. I use eyeglasses cleaner on a lint free cloth for the stubborn smudges. I wouldn't spray anything directly on the screen (just in case). In any case be sure to test it in a corner before doing the whole screen.

It's a glass screen.... I would think you would have to use some pretty potent stuff to do anything to it.

Even if you managed to get some scratches on it, some Applesause may work. I don't know this for 100% sure, so you may want to try the corner thing first since the P3 has a glass screen. It works for me on my P2 and removes even some of the bigger scratches.
Good luck! |

I may not have made my self so clear when I said "Applesause". That is a product made by Apple, it's about their only product I like, and it's fairly cheap from a few places. It's around 10-16 dollars (US) and works very well from what I've used it for

No scratches, just smudges that will probably wipe off easily enough if I use a damp cloth. That's all I was really asking. I just wanted to make sure someone else had done it before I did it so I knew what to use.

Hello fellows, my screens getting all smudgy because of my big fat oily digits, would constant wipes of the shirt cause any untoward damage?
The smudges really make swiping the screen a pain..!!

Clean your hands with some dish soap (eliminated oils) before playing with the P3.
Try not to touch your face while enjoying the P3. No need to wipe the screen constantly. It'll still work with a few fingerprints on it.

thanks Olley, lol!
The thing with oily hands is theres no way washing my hands with soap is gonna keep the oil away for more than three quarters of an hour.. but I'll try it..
