Default Repair problems

A few weeks ago, I cracked my screen. My replacement arrived today and I attempted to do the repair. Unfortunately murphy was with me and I encountered two problems.

The first is relatively strait forward. I've got a small rubber part that I didn't see where it came from, and am not sure where/how to reattach it, although I'm guessing it's responsible for making the power switch springy.

The second, more serious one is that while reassembling it I broke the solder joints connecting the wires to the control panel. If I can't find someone local to fix it, can anyone recomend an repair company I could send it to?
