NWZ-A826 - How do I get it out of DEMO mode ?

Hi all, I'm a newbie on here. I recently picked up a Sony Walkman NWZ-A826 really cheaply from my local Curry's store. It was an ex demonstration one, so I only got the player itself and the USB cable. (no booklet, headphones, etc.)
When in the Main Menu, at the top of the screen it reads DEMO. All the Bluetooth menu options are unhighlighted, therefore I can not access them. Does anyone know how to get the player out of this "DEMO mode" ??

did you ask the shopkeeper if he knows how to solve this?
also, its strange that they did not deliver the included headphones and stuff since normally they should just put aside the boxes for later? at least thats what they do in germany.

They had no clue. sold as as shown. any ideas ?

You need to access the service menu to shut it off, so look for the thread to find the code.

I've managed to get into the MPTAPP MENU but can't see how you remove it from the "Demo" mode. Am I doing the right thing here ? Very frustrating

apply the same procedure you used to enter the mptapp menu replacing the sequence by the following: up down left right play play

i bought an ex demo one just yesterday at Best Buy. but it included basically everything, and it was just fine. where did u buy urs?

Hey just wondering if this problem was solved as im having exactly the same issue. How do you get it off of Demo mode! so frustrating lol

I have searched for this service menu item thread but can not find it, I alsop have the Demo problem and would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me how to get out of it from the A826.

If someone could be kind enough to help out it would be enormously appreciated.
