Default Trade: P3 - ??

Hey,
i bought me a Samsung P3 (I have it now 20 days or something) but for 160 € I paid, I wanted more, P3 isnt really smooth and appz or flash games or new games doesnt see the light @ the end of the tunel, well.

I think I'll give the p3 back to the shop where i bought,
but what it should buy for 160€ which is better then the P3?

Or ist the P3 the best player for 160 €?

What i want is a Player like the P3, but really smooth and many updates and appz (like ipod touch) and games and new themes (not the UCI crap).

(I dont want an Ipod)
Thanks!
Sorry for my english ^^

The P3 is the best for its price. If you pay more, you can get a S9.
Actually, with the 2.14 the P3 appears to be smooth.
So what do you really expect from your mp3 player? What do you need the P3 hasn't?

Kein Problem für english, mine isn't good either

Unfortunatly at this point, the only player that I know of with good apps is the iPod Touch...

Mainpoint:

It isnt soo fast like the ipod touch, but the ipod touch is to high for me (200+)

What i want is easy:
New themes (fully new) more widgets and smoother/faster.
Thats all but samsung isnt doing that only thing they do is removing fantastic features like on touch volume or sketchbook

It's the best player in it's class- excellent video and audio quality, what more do you need? Clearly it's not an Ipod touch or one of the latest Symbian mobiles.

yeah, unfortunately, the P3 seems the best for the money... and even running the 1.xx firmware, it seemed smooth enough for me...

Cowon S9, Sony X1000, iPod Touch and the upcoming Zune HD are all worthy alternatives. Sorry you don't love your P3 - hey, there's no one product for everyone!

The Sony x1000 isn't a bad player, responsive screen, good audio quality and good video. Quite a lofty price tag and its wi-fi is rubbish = big dissapointment from sony, espicially as its quite a lot more expensive then the P3 and doesn't do a great deal more

Have yet to use the S9 but from what I've herd it's very similar to the P3

if you want apps and updates there is ONLY the touch

You are the first person who says he is dissapointed with the P3 . I mean some people are complaing about some small things , but you are the first who doesn't like it at all . It's weird . I don't see how someone can be dissapointed with the P3 - when you buy it you know that it isn't the best on the market , but for the money it's just GREAT (my opinion)

The P3 wasn't exactly designed to be flashy with features and what not, but rather deliver the best audio experience you can find. It's audio quality is superb to just about everything out there. It just does not have all the flashy interface features that many other players out there have. Personally, I like the P3's interface, despite the fact that it may not be as smooth or flashy when compared to other touch interface players on the market. But everyone has their own tastes and preferences.

actually, I respectfully disagree...
the P3 was designed to have a flashy-er GUI and more features...
the P3 is marketed to the same people as the P2, just as a more finished product and a nicer, smoother User Experience...
thats just my take...

Once you mess around with the sound enhancements the audio is superb- I prefer it to the D2 or any other player I've heard. The interface is quite slick and seamless if you keep it minimal- I don't use the widgets or half the crap like subway maps, memo or sketchbook.

my psp sounds better than my P3 when i listen to songs. i messed around with the P3 sound enhancements and the sound quality improves a little. the psp has different tone qualities: Heavy, Pop, Jazz, Unique. when i use Unique, the bass sounds better and i get a fuller, richer sound using the Denon AH-C551K headphones.

Much agreed. The sound quality and the minimalistic UI are the 2 biggest things that got me to buy one.
