I've been thinking of getting a fuze now for a few months now, as im looking for an Mp3 player for around the £70 mark. I saw the View on offer and thought it was a good deal, but judging by the sub-forum it doesn't look like it!
Is the fast-forwarding fast on the fuze? I hope also considered the Samsung Q1, but haven't read much about them. Also having just looked at the Creative Zen Mosaic that looks quite good and is a similar price. I'm not necessarily looking for something amazing, just an mp3 player with a good build quality that wont stop working after a few months Thanks in advance for any feedback! fuze is a nice buy and about 70 quid at play for the 8gb i think, its a tiny litlee thing but nice player
also spotted this sony on Argos ebay clearance store SONY NWZ-A729 16GB WALKMAN http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SONY-NWZ-A729-...3%3A1|294%3A50 Not sure how good it is but its about 70 for a 16gb version - and sony do make good hardware ad sound quality - been thinking of getting this just for the heck of it |

Fuze is a good choice as is a Sony. Don't get a Creative, though.

Thanks for the comments.
I read a comment about the fuze that when the backlight turns off there is a 'low frequency popping sound'. Is this true? Is it really noticeable? There doesn't seem to be any other comments about it so i'm guessing it not a major issue. |

OK Thanks.
Is it compatible with BBC iplayer videos? Is the file transfer rate fast? |

video usually has to be converted. i use a 3rd party converter and then place the video on the Fuze itself with Sansa Media Converter. simple and fast two step process. others may have other methods
file transfer is super fast in my experience. whether using a media player to sync or dragging and dropping directly from the computer

Just make sure your Fuze has the latest firmware and it will be no problem. |

OK Thanks again.
I'm pretty sure im gonna get the fuze, it seems like a solid little player. I'm slightly thinking about getting a Sony walkman, but the alpha-numeric model number system i cant make any sense of! |

Probably a stupid question, but i just want to check!
Would a 4GB Fuze work with a 8GB microSD card? |

What are the supplied earphones like?

Actually not bad... as supplied buds. They won't make your ears bleed or anything
. They're better than the ones you pick up at the checkout at the convenience store but not by much. Fairly comfortable and plenty loud.I think they give you those just so you have something so you can listen to the Fuze out of the box. They let you listen on the way to the store to pickup better ones. They deliver sound but that's about all. They don't do much to let you hear the great SQ the Fuze delivers. You could keep them as emergency backups but you really need better phones to get the most from the player. |
