Hello everyone,
Is there a way to keep the Samsung P3 mp3 player on, after the USB cable has been disconnected from a PC? Or if there any workarounds to this issue... |

No not really, the closest thing I can suggest that if you put your computer in 'sleep' mode, then plug in your P3, you can charge it without it 'connecting' to the PC - you can also use it at the same time (while its charging)... Its like having it plugged into a wall-charger or something.

it is a pain in the but though, especially as i am trying a them and to test it is just infuriating as not only does the player turn off every time you copy the theme file to it it also want to do a library update, its just a rigmarole when all you want to see is a quick view of what work you have done
there is no reason for it to turn off after disconnecting from the PC, kwik to turn on yes, but an unnecessary inconvenience |

As far as I know, in terms of refreshing the database when adding new music, movies, flash games, themes, ect. It has to reboot. Kinda silly and definitely an inconvenience but such is life when you’re working with flash memory. As for charging, personally I just went out, spent like $20 bucks and bought a wall charger w USB connector. That way when I'm charging I can still use my player.

Better than the Cowon D2, which refreshes / updates the next time you switch it on!
