Sony NWZ-A818.. help needed!

Hey all.
I'm having a problem with my walkman at the moment. Whenever it powers on, all i see is a white screen, no menus, nothing. However it does work, as i can listen to it on shuffle(i'm afraid to do anything else, its the last thing it was on).

I've tried resetting the mp3 player and letting it run out of battery, but neither has worked, it just comes back with a blank white screen.

I've had a problem before where white streaks would appear on my screen, but each time they've disappeared after a reset.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

hmm it appears that the screen has got bust, is the unit still on warranty?
