Default P3 shows every MP3, not only those in MUSIC folder

Hey,
I'm new here... so first of all hello!

I just bought a P3 and i find it pretty cool, but there are a few things that are a bit annoying, first of all:

I want to hear Audiobooks on the Player, but I don't want them to show up in the Media-Library (because then they are played when I shuffle all Songs).

I tried to save them to another Folder on the Player but it still shows them in the "Music-App".

Can you help me?

Thanks

the P3 searches the entire internal storage for music file when it says "Library Update" after you disconnect the player from the computer. there is no way to stop this to my knowledge

I found this Thread before but it didn't solve the issue.
This is why I asked.
Because When I copy the Files to another Folder e.g. under Shared then they still appear in the Music section....

Hmm...well in that case, sorry I can't be more help. Personally I don't use audio-books.

Does anybody know if the player pulls the media from the "Recordings" folder into the players music list?

No, it doesn't add those - it would be a serious PITA if it did.

Sounds like there is something wrong with your player. I stuck an mp3 in the shared folder and another in the recorded files folder and niether of them appeared in the music browser. Unless they are meant to and its mine thats faulty..lol.

LOL! Agreed . But I'm just thinking, why not either create a folder in the "Recordings" folder for Audio-Books. That or just stick your audio-books in one of the designated sub folders in the "Recordings" section (not that an audio-book is really off the mark there anyways ). It's a bit of a pain, but it might work. Just a thought of course, so I take no responsibility for potential reprercussions

Ha ha, rather reminiscent of 2001 A Space Odyssey - "What are you doing Dave..."
