I am running Ubuntu Juanty 9.04 on my PC. When I plug my T10 into the usb port, it is recognized immediately and mounted. I added several mp3 files to the music folder and I can play them from the T10 while on the computer. However, when I disconnect the T10 from the computer only the older mp3's show up in the playlist. They are on the T10 (I checked the memory space). Why can I only see them through the computer? I thought I made a mistake and tried to copy again, but is says the file already exists. Why can't the T10 see them? I tried a reset without luck. Any help would be appreciated.

it sounds like a problem with the file structure. i tried to update an IPod, with winamp, thought it worked, but when i turned it on all the listings were gone. i thought i wiped all the songs. i plugged the IPod in to a MAC laptop and wha la the songs re-appeared - none deleted. the IPod was not mine which is what freaked me out.
it looks like your Ubuntu did not update the file structure. i don't know how to repair the file structure though, this is problem i have not encountered before. |

Is this a MSC Firmware or MTP.
MTP is for Windows.. |

Yes. You are correct. It's an Ubuntu problem. I booted into Windows and even then you cannot simply drag and drop the files and expect them to play. You must use an application to sync them or they will not play. I'm sure there is a work around and hopefully I'll find it. I don't like to use Windows unless I have to. I'm assuming it's MTP since it works for Windows but I thought I fixed that because I had no problem using Ubuntu 8.04. I'll have to do some more digging. Thanks for your input.

I have Ubuntu 9.04 and same problem here. After adding mp3 files and unpluging the player the Samsung doesnt see a thing. BUT I have noticed that by .ogg files there is no problem at all. So now Im scratching my head from different side by converting the mp3 to ogg and then uploading it to player :-/ Hope the 9.10 will finally solve the T-10 issue that is here from when I can remember.
