1 year old Sansa Fuze has some issues

Whenever the backlight on my Fuze turns off, the player "automatically" hits the back button, thus resetting the song, going back a menu, or doing nothing (if you're on the hold mode).

I tested this with both Rockbox and normal OF, and they both do the same thing. Must be some sort of hardware problem...

Anyone know what I can do?

Sounds like it's time to contact sandisk for a repair/replacement. If the price for that is too high, you always have the choice of living with it or trashing it for a new one.

If this were strictly mechanical, I'd say try taking it apart, but it sounds like there's a short here somewhere.
