Can't Figure out How to Bookmark

I have had my Insignia Sport for a couple years now, and I cannot figure out how to bookmark!

with the player facing you, press the small 'tab' on the left upper edge. Be sure to press it exactly straight down. You will get a book makr menu. If you press to the right or left you will get a star rating menu. TO delete bookmarks, you need to go to the music library menu. CLick the wheel until you get 'bookmarks' Highlight the one you want to delete, then press the button in the center of the wheel firmly.
