...here's a great alternative from Archos. Sure, you won't be getting the "zune" experience, but it definitely beats any experience from apple. I'm thinking this will be my next PMP purchase.

Yeah, i'm thinking about it too.

Android means i'll be able to add apps, can do upnp player to my tv if need be. The only thing that's a bit of a drawback is the price.

And archos also want to make a phone. Wonder where that one will lead to.

According to Amazon.com the flash and HDD model both get an amazing and totally astonishing 10hrs for audio & 4hrs for video!!!!! My world will never be the same,..................

I'm curious if when playing music the screen and Wifi can be turned off. I can't imagine why it doesn't do any better than 10 hours if all it is doing is playing music.

As for the Video 4 hours.... Long enough for a movie or two. Fine with me.

The only ting going for this device is the 500gb of storage.

Otherwise, the Android phones are much better.

You say that about every device that hits the market, that it's "fine w/you". The specs for battery life suck, unless you plan on taking multiple devices w/you while being stuck in an airport terminal. For most of us the battery life is shiite.

Look, I'm all for the Android dap & all, but lets be honest. If it dies in almost nothing flat, what's the point? Can't use a device w/a crap battery, now can we? If the battery life was decent I'd buy this asap. Looks great, performs w/mediocrity!!!!!
