Until Christmas I'm not spending anything and cutting back where I can - my 5800 was a mad bit of retail therapy, and I do feel better.

The SQ is good, for a phone - but I can't get over just how nice the screen is. When I'm out and about and using google maps, my GPS pops up and layers like Wikipedia come up for buildings I'm next to - definitely an upgrade from the N95 8GB.

My next toy awaits, and I don't mind if it's a few months - this is the mother of all DAPs.

This player of Sony is really nice with noisecancelling and very thinner then any music player ever!

It really hard to choose this one or Zune Hd, but i don't really mind if i want touch player or non.

at the risk of sounding pendantic, am I the only one who finds the outer ring really irritating? It seems such a waste; they could have made that into controls and helped improve blind control, but instead they have the controls stuck in that stupid little circle.

I don't find the outer ring irritating just kind of pointless. And I don't get why the controls have to be a different color.

Although I'd love to see it in all black

I prefer the square shaped controls they had on a720 series, but maybe a little bigger than the ones on a720 series.

I liked the more square controls myself, but I'll take a little "Disney World" for the superior SQ and (finally) good capacity.

I also third the fact the square controls were easier to use. It looks like a brilliant player. I'm really looking forward to trying this one out since I've never really liked touch screens.

I'm no industrial designer, but IMO the outer ring enveloping the buttons creates a shape reminiscent of the X1000's "HOME" button (a metallic, cropped circle located at the bottom edge of the player.)
