this is gona be released in February in uk or Europe? and if it does it only comes in 16gb right? does it come in other colors besides black cuz I read somewhere its only being released in black 16gb I'm tired of black :\ I wanted the brown :P

If this thing doesn't have gapless then it is no better than it's X counter part, it's like releasing a 64gb x series, pulling slacker and web browser, and amping the battery life by 8 hours, and hopefully giving you better audio output for your buck

Perhaps I should just import the Japanese version since it apparently does gapless via something called SS or Atrac? Anyone have any clue what these things are and whether they are good or bad and why?

The official release date for the 16GB and 32GB models is February 7 in Australia, however I'm not sure whether it would be the same elsewhere. Here's the url:

Yet at Sony Style Hong Kong you can get the same device for $344AUD (2380 HK converted) (comes with leather case + adidas voucher)

I have a 64g in Japan and I'm using drop and drag to transfer files. Works fine through Windows explorer but doesn't support gapless.

Has anybody used the bundled Japanese-language software? (Sonic Stage or X-App). I tried briefly but couldn't install to an English OS. I've heard one of these programmes supports supports gapless and wanted to know if anybody has had any luck.

Does the NW japan model have an English setting?
If not then can I change the firmware with the nwz version?

I'm thinking of getting the nw version (I can't wait).
Should I wait (I live in US)?

I don't have the new A series player, but I think someone posted earlier that it is an Asian language-only menu. I would love to hear that there is an English menu option though.

I don't think there is an NWZ version yet. So far there is only the NW version available in Japan (at least for the 64GB model).

I know the Japanese version's FM tuner does not cover the US FM frequency range. Don't know if that would bother you or not though.

NWZ versions exist, but not yet officially on sale, soon though, mid-end of february or march
