X-Fi just kind of sucks... at least the crystalizer and the CMSS 3D or whatever it is called...

the last times i heard an x-fi soundcard/dsp, the sound was awful!

if sammy made soundcards based on their DSP and made it for XP and up and linux/unix compatible, i'll recommend it to everyone i know (friends/forum-users/etc...).

i think that i/we/somebody should contact samsung and post a request.
if it's decided to be XP compatable, i'll have one installed next to my SB Live card.

albeit the DNSe3.0 DSP has very good sound quality, it just doesn't compete with the extremely deep bass output of my SB Live.

so the config would be:
sammy DNSe3.0 - high quality playback,
SB Live - Deep bass and Medium-high quality playback.

also i have yet to make a video using the amp and P3 to cause a picture frame to fall.

Wow, it's really great having an insider here.

I was happy with my P2 because I knew that it was Samsung's flagship product and knew that they would keep updating its firmware. That's why I'm spoiled :P and will never buy another media player again without knowing that it'll be continually updated. Can you please tell us if the M1 firmware will be continually updated and features added?

There is only one thing i want samsung to do before they stop P3 firmware once and for all, fix what they have broken ! (aka touch volume control..)

You have clearly either lost your mind, have terrible headphones, or don't know how DNSe works. You can make Grados sound like bass monsters with DNSe.
