Is it possible to do that in UMS mode? Should the img be embedded in tag or can it be some external file with certain naming convention? I have yet to get my mp3 to display the right album art. Thanks in advance for any help.

The easiest way would be to embed it in the tag using MP3tag or a similar program. And it is possible in UMS mode.

I've read a img of 300x300 seems to work well.

I had a lot of trouble getting my album covers to show despite them being embedded in the tags.
However I went through my collection with this free and easy to use bit of software and it sorted it all out for me: Tag&Rename |

450 x 450 works fine. Anything larger and it takes a second to load or won't work at all.

Im going to second what Dreamnine said (as usual... lol)
450x450 is the best size. also, I must admit that I actually use iTunes to embed album art... it works just fine that way...

Does it have to square? That could be the problem...I just use imagemagick to convert it so that the larger or the two size do not exceed 400.
So far I only manage to get two FLAC album to work. None of the mp3 worked. This is rather strange. EDIT: mp3 now works if I use id3v2.3 instead of id3v2.4 Last edited by mathfeel; 10-03-2009 at 04:01 AM. |

i used media monkey and got every album art. if you select the album and hit control L it will bring up album art finder and you can do it there. However i am also a very patient person and could give up the hours it took for my Huge collection.
