Is there a converter to convert mp3 to FLAC format i really want to have my music have a higher quality than what they are. If thats possible can someone give me a program that converts it?

Converting MP3 to FLAC will give you absolutely no quality improvement at all. What's been lost in MP3s is gone forever, and converting them any further will not make them sound better. Converting MP3 to FLAC will only give you much bigger file sizes at the same sound quality as you already had. The only way to get better sound quality is to rip your original CDs to FLAC straight away. Not that most people would even hear the tiniest difference between a properly encoded LAME -v2 to -v0 MP3 and a FLAC file, but that's besides the point. And you would need a really good sounding source and speakers/headphones to hear the difference as well.

Rip your cds to flac you mean? Media monkey and emodio do it to name a few. It really doesn't matter though mp3 is good enough. Just make sure you are using the newest mp3 codec.
It might be worth it if the p3 had sd support. |
