My cousin has the iriver E100. He doesn't own a computer, so when he comes over he can copy music from my computer.
Anyways, I was trying to update the firmware for him but it kept failing. Anyone know why? It's pretty much fresh out of the box so whatever firmware it comes with is what he has now, and we're trying to put the latest on, which I believe is 1.22, right? iriver plus 3 seems like an OK program to use, but I found I can copy music straight to the iriver using Windows Explorer (drag and drop), which is (IMO) much easier and user-friendly. |

Hi.

And if you connect your e100 to the irvier updater it will be shown too (I think). If the fw version is too old, you can't upgrade in one step. And if the fw version is the actual one, you can't upgrade ;-) |

Have you tried using the "firmware updater" program? iriver plus3 hasn't worked for me yet, but firmware updater has twice, even though I use MSC. Hope that helps.
