s739 firmware question

Hello all,

I bought a sony nwz-s739F walkman 'bout 2 months ago and now the volume button won't react. If i start the player in test mode using the 'secret' code found elsewhere on this forum the hardware diagnostics tell me there is nothing wrong with the actual button so the root of the problem must be somewhere in the firmware. I re-installed the firmware several times, resetted the player and formatted the player using the built-in format option but the problem persists. Does anyone now how I can completely re-install my player and reset it to the factory settings?
