Hi,
I have a Samsung YP-P3JCB/XEF (8GB) which has been working fine for around 5 months, but now the bottom and top areas of the touch screen do not respond (or do so only with extreme difficulty). Amongst other things this means the "back" arrow hardly works, and the top row of icons on the menu is unavailable. I've pressed the reset button, even re-formatted the whole memory, and tried all the firmware updates I could find, but nothing has helped. Any suggestions before I give up and send it back? Is this a known problem? Many thanks, |

This happens... Only way to fix it is to contact Samsung about a replacement.. :\

okay. Do you know if it is possible to contact Samsung Denmark directly and get a new one or do i have to invole the company that I bought it from?

happened to me also. had to send it in. It was in tennesee. however, you are sending it to New Jersy not korea
|

Make sure you have the receipt. If the place you bought it from won't exchange it, contact Samsung directly.

well, my theory is that they saw all the issues the P2 had with just one cable connecting the touch layer to the device, so they gave certain sections of the screen different cables, and some of those cables might break more easily than others... but that is just my idea

okay but if it happens as often as you say, I might try to get my money back and buy another instead.

well, I've never had any sort of issue with my P3. ever.
but some people have, and I don't know why. you'll probably be fine sticking with the P3 though

Mine is fine after 9 months - it's pristine with no issues at all.

alo. I'm having the same problem YP-P3JCB/XAA 8GB. Tried all resetting, formating, firmware updates. I will be requesting a return because I couldn't find any reference to workaround this problem. I even downloaded a service and repair manual from the web to see if there was any diagnostic or solving clues. none.

Yea this is a problem Samsung hasn't addressed, and probably will not... :\
