Well, if you can wait till Monday next, please keep your trousers on. I might Flickr them, who knows. But, I had someone at headfi steal my photos recently from Flickr; he took the photo, edited out my marque and cropped it at headfi. Pretty mad. Might do this privately with a big watermark over at touchmyapps.

And that is a really sh1tty thing for someone to do...why? Then to post it at a prominent enthusiast site with no accreditation? Pointless, rude, lazy and stupid...That's called plagiarism in book circles...

Well, I got the 845 (black) and will take photos when I get back to Korea. It is very nice, a bit 'softer around the edges' sounding than my A828, but still hissy as hell. Unfortunately, it isn't made as solidly as either the A828 or the X. There are some rifts open along seems (this happens with every A84x I've seen) and the unit twists.

Spent a considerable time with some nice DIY headphone amps here in Japan today: amazing. Oh yes, and balanced portable DAC's. I'll be taking a good long look at them later. Might end up ordering a few more...

I haven't really unpacked mine much as I'd like to: actually may sell it as I don't like how it performs with sensitive earphones: the clicking and more than acceptable hiss. More photos of it, my A282 and the ALO LOD can be found at TMA.

Interesting to hear you're really dissapointed with the 845. I enjoy my 847 and can accept some of the faults.

Anyway for people who don't have enough money for an ALO lod(135+40 dollar shipping for me) there are some different options. I just ordered a sony dock on taobao using a deputy service. Hopefully I'll recieve it next week to see if it works.

Yeah, I tried, but had trouble as my agent (agent?) wasn't able to ship it to me as he is very busy. I still have the funds, so I will get another to do it.

I am just disappointed that Sony haven't got the hiss fixed yet (been like 6 years of bad hiss), but the added annoyance of background clicks at regular intervals is enough to drive someone mad.

I've resigned myself to live without gapless or FLAC/ALAC, but the clicking with sensitive earphones which already have to suffer horrid hiss... that is insufferable.

My opinion is somewhat firm. I like the player, but I don't like what I'm hearing. Of course, I am a rare case: a person who hears audio problems from the vacuum of space, but dear God, I've really been unimpressed with Sony of late.
