I know one thing you could do if you're ever bored. A Connect-four game. I've been thinking about making one for ages, but never gotten to it.

Actually, Shift might be possible, maybe using the accelerometer for movement, taping the screen to jump, and either a swipe or button press for shift. I might consider making it myself after I'm done with some other projects.

I never said it was impossible, just not very easily implemented due to the amount of real time control monitoring needed. But there are still other buttons you've forgotten, like the up button to enter doors, and the P button which did something else..

However "good" the idea may seem that is something which is virtually impossible I believe. We have way too little privileges in what we can do, and the LUA we have to work with is most likely way too "cut down" to be able to make it.

Yes emulators would be far too adavnce for any of the members right now. IF you want to suggest think of what is possible first. Some good suggestions would be a flash game you really liked and had simple controls ie:ballbounce.

A Gameboy emulator requires multiple input methods (e.g. Super Mario: run + jump at the same time...) and is a crapload of work.

A gameboy emulator is impossible at the current time.(probably forever) we do not have the required experiece or even some of the flexibilty required. THis question has been answered MANY times in the apps/games idea thread. Please look around if any other post similiar has been posted before posting a new thread

Feel free to try it out. I don't think the programming itself is all that hard, what might be troublesome is the screen's responsiveness.

I hope doodle jump quickly ready to play.

Maybe you can use the touch screen for this game.

Just press the left half of left and right for right.

That seems easier to program than with the accelerometer.

I'm not sure if I understand what you're referring to, but doodlejump is already here. (it's not yet in the downloads section since I don't consider it "ready" yet, but it's playable.)
