For those wondering about my games(Connect 4, Tower Defense, etc), I haven't had internet since I just moved this past work. Only get internet to check email from college. I'll be back updating on Thursday.

I want to enter items into contacts and to-do's and Calendar on the fly... I do not want to be tied to Centrale in order to do it.

A note pad like app would be nice too

re: games

how about modifying TIC TAC TOE to make the X-fi be opponent 2?

Mine sweeper & mahjong are nice puzzle games that do not take up too much CPU.. but do require some graphic design.

Notepad is currently WIP (see here: http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum...ad.php?t=51855). I can't promise when and if there will be an AI for TicTacToe, but the game is open source
I tried to code a Mahjongg puzzle as well, but the tiles were be too tiny to click them. I can imagine a kind of mini-mahjongg might work...

I updated the first post to include all of the ideas that I have seen in this thread. Please let me know if I need to add or change anything. I will try to keep the list as updated as possible.

Making the Tic Tac Toe so that you only have 3 markers each to switch around, just like the "real" game. So it becomes more strategical.

EDIT: Another suggestion for the Tick Tac Toe, especially if you add the function with only 3 markers each. And that is that you before placing the marker have to press it where it appears to the side, and then where you want to place it. This would make sure the other person won't accidentally put in your marker by tapping twice. My teacher did that when I challenged her, she wasn't good with touch screens so she tapped several times, and thus placing my marker too by accident.

I think mahjong is in progress
another idea is this game where you have to put the ball trough a labyrinth into a hole with moving the zen (so no buttons)

something like this : http://static.sftcdn.net/de/scrn/730..._iphone_04.jpg

@Gruffler: I'll update the listing for Mahjong... Also, I mentioned something like that labyrinth game (Ball Maze) a few posts back. I'd love it if someone could get the accelerometer to work with a game like that.

If any of the programmers out there want to let me know what they are working on I'll put their names on the list.

I have a game I made myself in Java. It's very short with only one easy level. but it'd be awesome to convert the code into LUA. Problem is it's using image analyzing functions I really doubt exist in the X-Fi2 LUA.

While doing some mindless interwebs surfing I found another great idea for a simple game: Tower of Hanoi

**

I also found another idea for a Sliding Puzzle

Nice. BTW, don't spoil the game by presenting a GIF with the solution..

@Habhome... well I was hoping it would be something a little harder than 4 layers... or maybe varying difficulties.

@LordXenos: Well, that might be. But I still don't think it's nice to spoil it for those who has never played even the 4 layer version =P

Exclamation New apps for zen x-fi 2

I'm not a good programmer but what if we made actual games instead of arcade games.
Like:
Sims 3
pokemon
socom

make real full games. Like rpgs and other types of games
but full games like playstation games or xbox games for the zen x-fi 2.

I don't think the reason games like that haven't been made is because people haven't thought of them, it's because they would be unbelievably complicated and all the people working on these apps are just doing it in their spare time. Text based RPG's might be possible (and I quite like that idea) but suggesting "Sims 3" isn't really realistic.
