I do not own a Sony walkman but a friend of me has a A81x that sounds pretty good. But I prefer Samsung and Cowon for their audio effects (DNSe and BBE)

I realize the P3 is an easy one to throw in there since you're very experienced with it, but any chance of an M1, S9, Zune HD, iriver SPINN showdown? All of them at least have a 3.3" OLED screens showing 480 x 272. From what I've seen the P3/P2 remain at the top of the 3" screen heap. Many other devices with 3" screens don't do 480 x 272. There are even several 3" screen devices out there that aren't touchscreens.

The problem with Sony europe is that it they go to far limiting the sound loudness i have a A828 and any samsung player is louder reason why i did not buy Sony X1050 and instead Samsung M1

on the Picture the M1 look so much better than P3

The M1 is probaly better than P3 but i think Cowon S9 is the best
I will be getting a S9 myself this year when i sell out some stuff
i maybe even sell the sony a828 since i am not happy with the loudness of sound
I hear the Cowon S9 is not so loud either but this is fixed by installing the american firmware
that make it louder than the european

One of the reason i buy samsung mp3 players is because i like how loud they sound
