cant turn on. and doesnt respond when plugged into PC

That happened to me the first night I got it, lol. Scared the hell out of me until I reset it, and it hasn't happened since.

How weird is that... same here

as in - first day of ownership, after about 1-2 hours of use and playing with it, it seemed to completely die

reset it, seems back to normal....

wonder if samsung are aware of this.

My P3 is fairly new too. Although it hasn't appeared to die like you were saying, sometimes when I plug it in it says USB Connected but nothing happens on the PC. After turning it off and reconnecting the PC then recognises it.

Just some more odd behaviour :P

mine is doing that right now, my computer keeps telling me that my device could perform faster if i had an available usb 2.0 port...which all the ports on my laptop are... gonna try some stuff to fix it now, but it just took 6 mins to transfer a 300mb file...bah..

as it turns out, my p3 wont connect if i just put the cord into it, i have to push the cord upwards into it....
