Need Help, M1 Died

Yesterday some of my song error, can not play, so I connect my M1 to PC. Inside some of directory become empty and suddently there was many strange character.

So I decide to format it using M1 Format feature.

After format, everything ok until last night, suddenly my M1 can not turn on.

Everytime I tried to turn on, there is a Samsung word, after that 'System will reboot in 5 seconds to recovery' and turn off an on again, but this situation repeat and never go back to menu screen.

I tried to connect to PC, but my M1 can not recognize by the PC.

Anybody can help ?

OMG, that is such a bad news what happened? i really dont want this kind of trouble to occur to me or any other m1 users

from what i suspect, that could be a harddisk problem.. (missing files, strange character)

Possible Solution:

- Hold off-switch in for 15 seconds to reset player (work like reset hole)
if it turn on normaly conect to pc and upgrade to firmware 1.19

- If this not help put the player a player where is warmer (put inside some clothing) for some hours then conect to pc and upgrade
not sure if this cold weather can affect electronics

- Try to conect it from another pc or a fresh formated pc

- You can also try to make the player turn on/off many times for a long time to see if problem fixes itself

else contact samsung suport , if player is new change it in store (as soon you get new upgrade firmware to 1.19)

PS: Also try to conect it to Windows maybe this is a mac problem?

I had a strange thing happening to me too today
I conected M1 and it made conect-sound but did not show up
(I had my SD card too conected to laptop)

I removed the SDCard but M1 still not show up
i then see SDcard still show up on PC and i could go into SDcard and browse files (EVEN that my sdcard was removed from PC)

Then suddenly i could no longer browse Sdcard (after i should not have been able to browse anything since SDcard was not in the pc)
then i hear M1 disconect , i conect it again and it show up
very bizarre

@Coovibes, I already try your suggestion with 3 PC and some laptops, still the same.

I try to hold the On/Off button, for 10 second, 15 seconds, 20 second, same result. I also try to do some combination, push the Volume (-) button with On/Off button together for 20 second, suddenly everything turn off and can not turn on anymore

I try to do the same again, the player can turn on again.

When the power can not turn on, I try to connect to PC, and in the PC appear that APX device beiing connected.

What is the APX Device ? I still dont understand. I try in other PC, same message apear that I try to connect APX device but need some driver.

Somebody know about this APX ?

Still working or just only can turn on, but can do nothing ??

If you push and hold On/Off and Volume (-), M1 will go to APX mode.

If you connect to PC, nothing happen in the M1 but in the PC, they said that APX device beiing connected, need some driver.

If you push and hold again the on'off and Volume (-), they will back to normal mode and go to rebooting stage.

very intressing, after all it seem pressing on/off + Volume (-) do something different than just pressing on/off, what i dont understand i why this is not in the manual

btw, hope you get the M1 working again
