BBC iplayer on X-Fi2?

Can't get BBC iplayer to run on my player. Downloaded portable format and followed instructions, but no show. BBC iplayer site states that this player is compatible! Can anyone give me advice? Thanks

Have you run the mobile wmv for a few seconds in WMP to acquire the usage rights?

This is all I can suggest as that is what I do for my X and it works fine.

Tried playing it for a few seconds and then dragging and dropping into video folder on X-Fi2. It appears to be there, but has a question mark icon and says it does not recognise file format. Do I need to change file format?
Any help appreciated, diving me mad.

Is your Creative in msc (ums) mode in settings? If it has this option you may have to change it to mtp although I would have thought it would be automatic.

The x-fi2 should play iplayer wmvs if it says so on the box. Try playing in wmp then click 'sync now playing to device' - that might work instead.

Is the X-Fi2 comaptable? On BBC site it's not listed.

Well, my Sony X isn't listed but it works.

If the X-Fi2 doesn't support iPlayer, I'm unsure about converting DRM video files.

You cannot convert files downloaded from the iPlayer, I just tried it :\
