I've been having difficulty with skipping flacs. i've tried re-encoding them to level 8 but that doesnt seem to help.
it never happens in the same place or on the same song. i tried contacting support but after a while, they just told me to send it in and wait for a new one. has anyone else had this difficulty? should i send this back or is this a defect in the firmware or design? |

running from the player's memory or microsd ?
random skipping may be due to bad file / encoding if none of the above applies, then most likely is the player. try as many possible solution to isolate the problem |

this type of skipping happens no matter which file and never on the same place or same file. the files play fine on computer and they're well under required bitrate.
id be inclined to believe the player is defective, but i've been hearing similar stories from others who use flacs which lead me to believe that the either the firmware is buggy (no suprise there), or that the player just cant handle flacs and creative's specs are bullshit. |

its a wierd problem...only happens maybe once in several hours of listening.
most of my 48 gig (32 + 16) is flacs so it gets to be noticeable. |

perhaps the processor is getting rather warm
heat can also cause the player to behave abnormally i experience that sometimes when watching video instead get ur player check if it gets too annoying |
