Default free to good home

greetings and salutations all

so i have 2 H340s for free to a good home or homes ...one was working but hard drive started crapping out and i was planning on going down compact flash replacement territory but ended up just getting a cowon x7 (damn fine replacement for the H340) ...but before i did that i purchased another player from ebay or somewhere and i was told it was all in working order but it is actually just dead but it might just be the battery on that one as i never did check it thoroughly ...even though i have a spare battery (received 2 when i ordered 1 to replace in my first one which worked a treat for several more years after i did it) ....so i have 2 players and a bigger replacement battery are still in my possession and i refuse to throw useful stuff out and i hate to sell stuff like this as its just being a vulture im my opinion so if someone is happy to send me postage prepaid envelope im happy to send them one or both .... and id prefer it to be peoples who just love this player and dont want to let it go as it is that good of a player ...this isnt first in either , i will be deciding based on reasons given who gets as they are free so would prefer someone i deem worthy

anyhoo thanks for your time and hope you have a great day

Hello Wonkoabnormal.
That is a very generous offer. The world could do with more people like you!
I hope they go to good homes.

As an owner of an iRiver iHP-140, what a nice offer! When the iRiver line first came out, I researched it like the dickens and saw it as a great iPod alternative, in a Russian tank design sort of way. Was so sad when iRiver just couldn't keep on bringing out the line. And the community at misticriver.com was a great one--in an organized email campaign, we got a major case manufacturer to bring out a case for the iHP-140.

The battery on my player has been going down hill--by any chance do you know if the H340 battery will work in the iHP-140?

Yep they will fit. The physical size is the same , its only the lenght of the wires that are different. I'm pretty sure (nearly positive) the h320's had longer wires but theres heaps of room for them in there.
As a side note, its always worth checking the polarity before fitting as the early ipods ran the same battery but had opposite polarity.

Default H340 offer

What a kind offer. They're lovely old machines aren't they? I've just stupidly blown my motherboard so that the screen doesn't work. Therefore I need a replacement motherboard. Do you think the motherboards on your machines might work? And would you mind them being used in that way?! If you're willing to send, please would you quote for postage?

Many thanks.
