I use a P3 using in Linux using MSC. In most cases, the Album Art shows perfectly however, in some cases, the album art does not show. Investigation shows that in all of these cases, the file sizes of the image files seem to be larger than those that are successfully displayed.
Can anyone suggest why this is, and what do I need to do to put things right? Has anyone else had this problem? Many thanks Dave |

Anything larger than 500 x 500 won't display. I found 450 x 450 to be the optimum, assuming your tags are Ok.

I'm having the same problem... I use mp3tag, UMS, and still some files don;t have album art. I didn't check the size though. Making it look good isn't that simple...
Funny thing is that I get displayed one cover that is 800x800 and some, that are 300x300 stay unseen...

I just went into mp3tag, removed the album art that didn't show up, then added the same file back on, with the same resolution, and they showed up fine after that.

I downloaded MP3tag. Due to my complete lack of knowledge of computer jargon, I don't know where to start - it could have been written in Uzbekistanese for all it was worth!!
If anybody can give me some pointers to get me started I would be eternally grateful. Many thanks Mf |

If you open Mp3Tag and click on Add Directory it will let you add an album from your PC.
Then you can click on each audio file and it has windows for the various tags - song title, artist, year, genre, album art etc. Once you have all the correct tags for that song click save on the top left, It's quite easy and user-friendly once you get the hang of it. |

Aha, I think I've got it. I'll need to fiddle with it for a while. I assume that I need to do this to all tracks before I put them on my P3?
Many thanks Mf |

Hang on a minute. I have been given a CD for my birthday with loads of tracks, but some don't have the artwork apparently. How do I get these?
Sorry to be a dork! |

Yes, if you tag all your files correctly you only need to do it once, then transfer to your P3.
Google Images is pretty good for album art. |
