I think it is reasonable to assume that the Zune HD 2 is going to be a portable gaming platform that also does music, videos, and applications. After all, why should Microsoft leave the entire portable-gaming market to vendors like Apple, Nintendo, and Sony?

Default What Does Everyone Make Of The Alleged Zune HD2?
Supposed to be "like" an Ipod touch, perhaps ship later this year with the Zune phones... What is the purpose of buying an HD now? These are rumors of course so its silly to get worked up over anything, but really? I'd like to think that after releasing a 64gb model that the current HD model is not necessarily on its way out so soon. I have a 16gb HD currently and would like to see a lot more put into to this before it goes the way of the dinosaur so damned soon. I hope the rumors are substanceless, but I tend to think that they will release a Touch competitor because they have to to compete. Why can't the HD operate on WM7? Capitalism is one hell of a racket.
