They are about $15 including shipping. Don't know how long they'll last, and they've been difficult to locate!

Not officially (strangely enough). Perhaps that is why I feel so sympathetic towards the View: It had a lot of potential, but was treated badly by its parents (SanDisk) and had very few friends. It's amazing that SanDisk still actively sells a player that they have not updated the firmware for in almost 2 years!

Anyway, with the 01.01.06 firmware, a LOD and Fiio E5, it is a great player for me and when the battery dies, I hope to find a new one and replace it.

And we still dream about Rockbox...
