Just for grins I converted a short video clip (.wmv) to .avi using the Jet Audio Convert Video program.
I copied the .avi file to my X5 and then attempted to play it by browsing to the folder I copied it to. But I can't see it. Does RockBox not support video? I can't believe that. I used the default settings for the video. Any ideas? |

No, Rockbox doesn't support video at the moment.
Video support is in development, however. I think the programmers managed already to get MPEG1 videos running, but without sound support.

Well, that stinks.
Maybe I'll just remove the Rockbox. It isn't that much better and is actually sort of a pain with some things. |

You can have both, official firmware and Rockbox on the player. Just use the dual-boot patch.
