Creative ZEN X-Fi2 Firmware 1.20.08

I was looking through Creative's website jus for some updates n i found out tat Creative has jus release a new firmware update on 15 April 2010. However, it will most likely benefit only those with the 64GB model.

Filesize: 82.02 MB (about twice the space of the previous version)



Enhancements:

• Adds support for ZEN X-Fi2 64 GB model.

N tats all listed . Disappointing? Well yes, at least for me since i hav an 8GB model n it takes up a lot of memory space. But hu noes...creative may have fixed a bug or improve animations etc in the ZEN X-fi2 so i hope we will be able to gather more info abt this new firmware update.

Why is it suddenly increased to 40 mb?

I think they won't list every smaller fix, so I'm hopeful the're some new features

When you brush right while playing a track to go to the track list it now goes to the top instead of the current track (Mentioned by another person in firmware bugs/wishes thread)
I find this very irritating.

Nope, no apps in there. It's probably all that for the 64GB support..
And this one restets twice too, so start it up, calibrate your screen, then shut it off and start again to calibrate one more time. THen you can change background and arrange icons.

Yeah, I forgot about that and went through all my settings twice. That was annoying...

Also, PushBox level 12 is still screwed up/unfinishable. Which kinda sucks. :/

I'll pass on this update, its too much work to get the EQ, wallpaper, icons and settings back to where they were just for an update that doesn't even change anything noticeable.

i noticed some strange behaviour with the new firmware.
sometimes when you push the "back button" then it won't do anything for a while except that the button is marked. when you touch the button a second time then it will go back.
and still i have the same bug as before: when i select an album to show the tracklist it is not on the top of the tracklist. it is always somewhere in between the playlist.

it's just been released a new firmware but i don't comprehend if it's necessary only for the 64gb version, can someone clear up my mind? :O

That's not new to this firmware. I've had that happen since the first firmware.

82.02 MB of firmware? What are they thinking. Have they included high-res pictures of the moon or something?

Version 1.12.08 is 41.52 MB. This firmware is 82.02 MB, one MB short of double the size of the previous firmware. Why? Did they just copied all code? The 64 GB version isn't 64-bit or something, is it? :P


Has something changed on the maximum number of applications it shows? Because my player didn't show me more than 16 apps with firmware 1.12.
What would also be nice is that you can just delete the standard apps (or move them to a sub folder) without the player restoring them.

Oh, didn't notice that... The list of apps works fine though.

I updated mine from 1.12 to 1.20 and I think my touchscreen doesn't react as good as it did... Am I the only one with this problem?
