I was considering getting a 16GB version. Is converting video as bad as some say it is?

You might want to check out the Creative web site for instructions and see what is said here. This place could change it's name to Anything But Creative. From what I've seen the MX is a great value, I have a Zen that works great but I never use it for video.
Also you may want to check out epizenter.com as I'm sure you would get a solid answer there. |

Don't know if its too late but i have a Zen MX 8GB and have had countless problems with it when it comes to converting video. For mp3s, its a good player but, for video, I wouldn't recommend it.
***edit - its a 16GB zen, not 8GB*** |

I also wouldn't recommend it for MP3s the expandable SD card is useless. You might as well call it an SD card holder. It can take over 20 minutes after switch on to play anything from the card and in the mean time all you get to do is watch the screen. No playing music while it builds

I thought it had been found usable for copying tracks to internal memory. |
