Hey in the jezzball app I am porting the wav files i added become higher pitch if they play through the actual player.. they don't get higher through the emulator though
Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks |

Yes, the player seems to do something with the sound which makes it sound different. I think this mostly applies to single frequencies though since music sounds OK. I'm no audio expert really =P

Do you think maybe it runs the wav files through the X-Fi filters? Maybe that's what makes it sound weird.

I have no idea about the X-Fi, I just stumbled upon this thread.
Does the player need a specific sample rate for game audio? Maybe it pitches stuff higher/lower cause it expects, say, 22.050Hz instead of 44.100Hz, or something along these lines.
