"P3 Memories SE" stays in KR - How to change firmware or language to English?

I have a YP-P3PCP, based on my research none of the firmwares work with this edition because it's a KR Special Edition, P3 Memories, I only managed to upgrade it to a 1.07v firmware, but I don't get any Language options and I can't change the UCI either, I feel bad, because I am kind of stuck with it now.

Do you know any way upgrade it to a 2.2v firmware or at least change the language? I don't even know how to use the voice recorder is very frustrating.

Hi,
Indeed if you are not Korean that was a very bad idea to buy the Memories edition. Do you live in Korea?!

This edition is designed for Korean olderies who are not familiar with english and new technologies, that is why you cannot change the UCI and the language.

The fw 1.07 corresponds to the fw 2.22 for the normal P3 but there is no way to install a normal P3 firmware on a P3 Memories.
Only the recovery tool of the after-sales service could erase the NAND and probably install a normal firmware but unfortunately there is no public release of this recovery tool.

So start learning Korean...

Yeah, I live in Korea, and I didn't know what I was buying. My fault. Is the normal P3 worth it. I really wish I got the real deal.

Yes the normal P3 is worth it! It's a very good DAP and cheaper than a Samsung M1, Cowon S9 or J3

living in Korea but not speaking Korean is a bit weird...

anyway, i have a P3 EU version and it is great, plus i'm the only guy i know who has 1!!
