Hi,
I have a sansa view 16GB, however it says it only has 8GB free even though there are no songs, videos or pictures on it. I have the lastest firmware. Anyone know why or how to fix it? |

It might be that the database has been "farked up". It has happened to me once or twice during the 2 years I have owned my 16GB View.
The only solution then is to format the player. If you on the other had know that you did not have anything on the player at the time it showed that it only had 8GB free, I do not know what it can be. Perhaps you could format and then update (or "downdate") the firmware. For me the 01.01.06 has worked the best battery wise, so I stick to that one. |

Thanks for the info guys but I ended up getting a Zune 30 for pretty cheap so I am satisfied with that for now.
