Default Another video question.
I got my zen-v plus 2 christmas' ago and its been great to me. I had everything working fine. This past christmas my computer broke, and I lost my cd to install all the programs. I also lost the video converter. Now i can't get video back on my zen. I've tried almost every file type as i can think of and nothing comes up. I am quite upset. any help?

What OS are you using? You actually don't need any of the Creative software installed on the computer other then what comes with WinXP. The Zen V is an MTP device meaning it doesn't require any additional drivers outside of what the (MTP compliant) OS provides. However, you will need at least WMP10 or WMP11 in order for the Media Framework to be installed and properly detect and install the Zen. You can always use programs like WMP11 or MediaMonkey for managing/syncing your media with the Zen V and use programs like Super for video conversions instead of using the Creative converter. Unfortunately, the Zen V-Plus is more the exception than the rule regarding use of Creative software, since the V-Plus's video format is restricted to MJPEG. Are there any third-party converters that can convert to that format?

Yeah, you're right. Forgot about that. However, I believe Super can convert to MJPEG in the AVI container. I've never tried it though. I believe VirtualDub and maybe Mencoder does too. So, there may be some other options....

haha wow I overlooked that completly. I finally got my zen playing videos again. Thanks alot to you all, but special kudos to Bobby. Thanks bro

I'll be back if I have any more question, now that I have a decent community who are knowledgeable and prompt. Thanks again.
