Samsung prepping another Android PMP (YP-GB1)?

So we know the YP-G50 was announced, but was a little disappointing because of its smaller, non-AMOLED low-res screen (among other things).

But apparently they are planning to release a Froyo (Android 2.2) device with hopefully higher specs. Model YP-GB1.

i hate it when the fcc or sig teases you with their petty wifi or bt specs (and the like). i want full specs now, i want to know which capacitor, which transistor etc. was used.

Samsung has announced a new Android-based Galaxy Player that will be showcased next week at the CES 2011. Samsung says the new music player takes inspiration from its successful Galaxy S phone and is spec’d similarly sans the cellular connectivity.
The 9.9mm thick Galaxy Player (YP-GB1) runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS and features a 1GHz CPU, 4-inch Super Clear LCD screen supporting up to WVGA resolution (800×480), T-DMB, SoundAlive audio enhancing technology, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.2MP rear camera with front facing camera for video calling, GPS, HD video playback, microSD card slot, Android Market and Samsung Apps access and a 1200mAh removable battery.
Samsung is also expected to show other Android PMPs like YP-G50 and hopefully the recently certified YP-GB70.

That would be great to have a Galaxy Player with a decent screen but I'm sure it will be too expensive...

Sorry for this random question but, how come no one wants to bring anything to the US? I'm guessing they think they won't have a chance, and anyone who pays attention to pmp's like this will buy it regardless of if its in the US.

So it seems it'll definitely make it out of Korea. On the other hand I think it's an interesting decision to have the phone division take charge of the production of PMPs. There are still PMPs that wouldn't use android (especially the smaller non-touch ones). How do the Galaxy S phone owners around here feel about the sound quality of their phones?
