Video4Fuze error with MKV file

Hello all! I am a new fuze user trying to get video on my fuze. The videos I have are in .mkv format. When I run video4fuze I get the following error in the cmd dialogue box

Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file

From what I can tell, mencoder supports .mkv files, so video4fuze should be able to convert this file format. I have downloaded the 0.6 version of video4fuze only, is there some other codec files I need to get this to work correctly?

Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Well I figured it out in case anyone has this error in the future. I am running Windows Vista on my computer and I had to run Video4fuze in XP compatibility mode.
