Rockbox now stable for Fuze v2

But you're talking about two different things....Rockbox battery life vs. Sansa battery life. Skip252 has tried with the OF and says they are about the same. Rockbox V1 battery life just happens to be significantly worse than the OF.

Not that its very important, but we do have frequency scaling on the Fuze V1, but like the fuze v2 it doesn't make a huge difference (the CPU seems to be able to conserve power pretty well on idle cycles). We have no idea why the power use on the v1 is so high compared to the v2. Lowering the core clock, core voltage, powering off peripherals doesn't seem to help.

Theres probably some random thing set wrong somewhere thats wasting power.

congrats bro...rb 3.7 will have to wait for me until i return to the states. and nice to know my themes should be ok as i am still running v26906 on my fuze lol...

oh sadly, the KISSv2 theme does not work for me....

Probably a consequence of your current ancient build!

KISSv2 supports conditionals, a feature that was introduced to Rockbox only recently: It displays the next song's artist only when it is different from the current song's artist (thereby gaining some space). Things like that were impossible to do with the old theme format…

Btw, I'm still trying to improve some aspects of my theme. I removed that superfluous comma in the line that shows the date and I'm also looking for "35-Nimbus.fnt" to improve the appearance of the radio screen. But I can't find that font, though it was mentioned in the changelog. It's not included in the font pack.

Anyone can help?

I upgraded my Fuze v2 to version 3.7 and the KISSv2 theme is working perfectly, as well as most of my other themes installed. I suggest you upgrade to 3.7, and then it should work.

Have you tried reinstalling your 3.6 build to see if that's the problem? My V2 Fuze is working fine pre and post 3.7. No issues with the pause function.

haven't tried rockbox in a while
I was sick of playlists not working and didnt want to to jump through hoops to get them working

I haven't noticed any essential change in Rockbox playlist function in years. What's change do you see?
