I'm trying to install Rockbox 3.7 on my Clip+. I am attempting to install using the Rockbox utility. I selected "complete installation."
Then I get this message: "Bootloader installation requires you to provide a firmware file from the original firmware (bin file). You need to download this file yourself due to legal reasons." ... Press Ok to continue and browse your computer for the firmware file. I re-downloaded the 01.02.15 firmware from the Sansa site. I selected the clppa.bin file on my hard drive after the firmware was unzipped to my hardrive. Then I get a "could not write firmware file" error. Okay - problem solved. Basically, I forgot that I hadn't installed the most recent Clip+ firmware on my Clip+. Once I did that, the automatic install of Rockbox worked.
