Default From iAudio 7 to Sansa Clip+ (Purple!)

So I had an iAudio 7 with a pair of Audeo PFE and a Mini^3 portable DIY headphone amp.

Unfortunately, everything but the amp has died

I'm still on the hunt for something to fit this type of setup, but so far I bought a new Clip+ because of the sale at a local B&M shop.

Without further adieu:

Still searching for an IEM replacement!

EDIT: To abide by rules that I was not previously aware of. Goooogle ftw.

The thing died. I don't know what specifically happened. Probably too many battery cycles or abuse. The power slider is pretty loose. All I know is that it won't turn on, even when plugged in. It had a pretty good run though. Sad day either way.

I'm not one to complain after having gotten a great deal of usage out of it. It was a great player. I have more storage with this player too ! Plus there's the joys of RockBox.

IIRC mine is older than your i7 and my battery is still providing great results, use it a lot too. It sounds like there could be something else wrong and the slider switch being lose doesn't sound good either. If you still have it, you could try tcctools to try bring it back, look here.

Thanks for the tip on that! I'll be sure to see if I can't get it going again. It's a lovely player, and it's always nice to have more than one right ?

I'm heavily torn between the RE0's and the Hippo VB's at this point. Decisions decisions!

Great looking setup, bet it sounds real nice also. Ive still never quite understood the amp with a tiny little player but the setup sure looks great and has to have great sound with the great pieces you have there. Wish I could help with your hp choice but Ive not heard either of your options. I have the pana hje900 coming next week, have you considered those?

I have considered that particular IEM. I really wish there was a way I could sample all of them before I buy. Headphones are a really really subjective buy. So many factors to consider too. I appreciate the suggestion though!

I have an idea. I just bought a set of the Panasonics from DarkSide here on the forum. I could have him ship them down to you instead. Then you can have them for a week or so and then you can ship them up the coast to me. That way you just have to pay shipping to get a audition. Let me know, he is supposed to ship them to me monday but Ill PM him and have him ship to you instead.

Wow that's a really kind offer!

I did end up redoing the cabling on my Phonaks. They work again! So I shan't be needing a new pair of IEM's.

Cool, glad things worked out for ya. The Phonaks are great phones. If you ever change your mind just let me know. I have enough gear that I can do without a particular one for a couple weeks without missing them too badly

It's great you got them working again. I've always wanted to try the phonaks, I'm curious for their next release of the 2BA phones.
